A good recommendation

My friend Vitaliy sent me an awesome recommendation for a place to stay near Mendocino. I was looking for non-hotel, something like a cottage. I couldn’t find what I was looking for on Airbnb.

Here’s what Vitaliy said:

I was at Mar Vista Cottages at Anchor Bay. It’s 45 miles south from Mendocino.
No TV, no cell phone - only thing existent there that connects you to the world is WiFi internet.
The cottages maintained by a couple that retired from working for big chain hotels so they know their stuff. The cottages are small and rustic, but really well maintained and when it comes to good bed, kitchen, grill, wood for a campfire, and everything else you need you just have it.
They also have swarms of chicken - if you (or kids) care you can go for a daily eggs collection ceremony. Next morning you have a basket of fresh, clean eggs on your porch.
Beach is across highway 1 and you need to go down the stairs to get there. The beach cut off from nearby beaches in both direction by cliffs, so the only people there are you, may be couple of other people from Mar Vista cottages and maybe fishermen who dive for abalone.
We wanted to go there this year too, but opted for something new and going to cottages in Yosemite.
Yeah, it’s my personal thing but if you like oysters - there bunch of good oyster farms on the way there.
So here is the site: http://www.marvistamendocino.com/
